Indiana

Indiana shall allow for students to earn credit for their outside-the-classroom learning.

Students may obtain credit counting toward graduation requirements from organizations that provide non-school educational experiences that apply or incorporate content area knowledge in the Core 40 curriculum model.

Which students are eligible?

Secondary school students.

What type of credit can be obtained?

Core and Elective credits (Core 40) can be awarded.

 Who can be a program provider?

Any organization seeking to provide credit under a Core 40 curriculum model for a non-school educational experience.

Who approves provider applications?

Provider applications must be submitted to, and approved by the state board of education.
